The New Lushaz Gold Casaba Melon is a smooth round melon with a tough gold and green rind, moon colored as we like to call it. It has a sweet deep white flesh, and a small, tight seed cavity at the center. They are very uniform in size averaging 7.5 - 8.5 lbs each and have good ship-ability and long shelf life.

Our Lushaz Gold Casaba melons were specially designed for commercial shipping and grocery store markets. They are unique and do not compete with other melon varieties. This new white meated melon is very sweet, delicious, cuts beautifully, and stores for many days at room temperature and for weeks under refrigeration. Lushaz Gold ships well, handles well and stores well. This melon is only available from Bundy Farms, who have developed the variety and own the seed.

Shipping & Storing

Lushaz Gold Bundy Melons were developed for commercial shipping and storing without compromising the taste and texture of the meat. Lushaz Gold will not bruise or mush internally during normal shipping condition. They maintain their exterior color and presentability well beyond any reasonable market period. Lushez Gold is harvested ready to eat, is easy to cut and will maintain harvest condition for 6-8 weeks. Lushez Gold needs no ripening period after harvest and stores well over 14 days in room temperature and 6-8 weeks refrigerated.

Bin testing out of 100 melons consistent weight per melons is 7.5 - 8.5 lbs.

Seed Certification

Our Lushaz Gold Casaba seeds have been tested for germination and disease as certified at Keithly-Williams Green House in Yuma Arizona. This season will be the fifth generation in the evolution of the seed development to establish a pure breed/variety of melon.
